2008 marked a significant transition for Magnussen, as he shifted gears from karts to cars, competing in Denmark’s Formula Ford Championship. Making an impressive splash, he clinched the championship title in his inaugural season, winning an astounding six of the eight races.

Carrying his momentum forward, 2009 saw him elevate to the Formula Ford Eurocup. Despite it being his rookie season, Magnussen made his mark by finishing in a commendable third place.

Conquering British Formula 3

Dominance in Formula Renault 3.5 Series

2012 signaled yet another ascent for Magnussen, this time to the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, where he joined forces with the DAMS team. True to form, he dominated the championship in his debut season, capturing five race titles and 13 podium finishes.

His association with the Formula Renault 3.5 Series continued as he once again showcased his racing prowess, finishing third overall, marked by three victories and nine appearances on the podium.
