Lance Stroll Italian Formula 4 Championship

Because he was not old enough to race in Formula Renault 2.0, in 2014 Ferrari placed Stroll in Italy’s arm of the recently created FIA-sanctioned Formula Four championship.

He finished second in his debut season, winning three races and scoring nine podium finishes. The following year, he won the championship with seven race victories and 14 podium finishes.

Lance started the 2015 season racing in New Zealand in the Toyota Racing Series alongside Maisano.

In 2015 Maisano suddenly walked out of Prema during the Red Bull Ring race weekend when he started  to struggle with his form.

Lance Stroll European Formula 3 Championship

In 2016, Lance Stroll moved up to the European Formula 3 Championship, one of the most competitive junior categories in motorsports.

He raced for the Prema Powerteam and finished fifth in the championship with one race win and 17 podium finishes.

The year was not without incidents. In the Monza race he tangled with Antonio Giovinazzi. This launched Lance into a barrel-roll at Curva Grande. With a growing fear over his driving standards the stewards ordered him to start the next event from the pits.

Lance Stroll Entry into F1

He has had a short, but varied career in Formula One.

Lance Stroll – Williams

Stroll’s success in the European Formula 3 Championship caught the attention of the Williams F1 team. They signed him as a development driver for the team in 2016. In 2017, they promoted him to a full-time racing seat with the team and made his Formula One debut at the Australian Grand Prix.

In his debut season, Lance Stroll struggled to adapt to the demands of Formula One and had a difficult start to the season. He scored his first points in his home race, the Canadian Grand Prix, where he finished ninth. He then scored his first podium finish in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, where he finished third.

Force India F1 Racing Team

In August 2018, Lawrence Stroll persuaded consortium of investors to purchase the Force India Formula One team.

They renamed the team Racing Point Force India. The team re-entered Formula One midway through the 2018 Formula One season.

On 31 January 2020, Lawrence Stroll announced that the Yew Tree Investments consortium would invest £182 million into Aston Martin.
