Pierre Gasly is a French racing driver who currently competes in Formula One for the French team – Alpine. He has had a checkered career in which he has moments of brilliance balanced out by some very average performances.

Pierre was promoted to the Red Bull team for the 2019 F 1 season; however, he struggled with the car and was  not able to support Max Verstappen during this time. He was demoted back to the Toro Ross team where he found his happy spot and achieved great results, he now rives for Alpine.

In this article, we will take a look at the early life of Pierre Gasly, his family, his schooling, and how he got into motorsports, as well as his F1 career which has culminate in his promotion to the Alpine team alongside Esteban Ocon.

His grandfather competed in karting, his grandmother was a well-known karting champion

Gasly’s performances in the 2017 season caught the attention of the Red Bull Racing team, and he was promoted to the team as a full-time driver for the 2019 season.  He replaced Daniel Riccardo and was slated to run alongside Max Verstappen.

Gasly’s promotion to Red Bull Racing was a significant achievement for him, as it is one of the top teams in Formula One.
Pierre Gasly Fired
Gasly’s first season with Red Bull Racing was a challenging one. He struggled to find his feet in the team and was unable achieve and decent results.

The outcome of this is that he was demoted back to the Toro Rosso where he swapped placed with Alex Albon, who did not have much more luck and was ultimately replaced by Sergio Pérez.
Scuderia AlphaTauri
He achieved success at Toro Rosso which was rebranded as Scuderia AlphaTauri.  During his rime he helped the team perform above its normal ability, and in some instances, he outperformed Alex Albon at Red Bull.

Pierre achieved and impressive 9th position in the 2021 driver championships.

In 2022 he ended the season in 14th position in the drivers’ championship.
Pierre Joined Alpine For The 2023 Season
For the 2023 Pierre has moved over to the French team, Alpine.

After the first two races in 2023 he is placed 11th position in the drivers’ championship and has earned 4 points

His team mate, Esteban Ocon is in 10th position and has also earned 4 points.
