George Russel

George Russel is a British racing driver who currently competes for the Williams Racing team in Formula One. Born on February 15, 1998, in King’s Lynn, England, Russell began his racing career in karting at a young age, and quickly moved up the ranks to car racing.

Russell’s talent was evident early on, as he won several championships in junior categories, including the 2017 GP3 Series championship. George Russel made his Formula One debut with the Williams team in 2019, and has since established himself as one of the most promising young drivers in the sport.

Despite the challenges of driving for a team that has struggled in recent years, George Russel has consistently shown his skill behind the wheel, impressing fans and fellow drivers alike. He has also been a strong advocate for sustainability in the sport, and has worked with Williams to promote environmental initiatives and reduce the team’s carbon footprint.

In addition to his role with Williams, Russell also served as a reserve driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, and has had several opportunities to drive for the team in the absence of regular driver Lewis Hamilton.

In 2022 George replaced Valtteri Bottas at Mercedes, and although the team did not have a great car he performed incredibly well and won the Brazilian Grand Prix.
